JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown approved funding to replace some Jamestown Fire Department rescue tools.

The extrication tools were requested by Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Ruether after the equipment failed during training. He says the 23 year-old equipment needed to be replaced and left the department with only one set.

The bid of $27,354 to Alex Air Apparatus of Alexandria, MN was approved unanimously.
