JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – As the colder weather begins to set in, this brings about the return of the Jamestown Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids distribution.
Beginning Friday, November 6th, the Salvation Army will be distributing coats to kids and families in need. Major Judy Lowder says they’ve been accepting coat donations and continue to look for more.
Normally, coats would be distributed from the old thrift store. Since that’s been permanently closed, Lowder says they’ll be moving the distribution event.
Lowder says they still accept clothing donations at their Community Center at 320 1st Avenue. She says before and after the distribution, they’ll continue looking for coat donations, primarily for the kids.
Lowder added that there are no requirements to receive coats or winter clothing items through the Jamestown Salvation Army.
If you have questions or want to make a donation to the Coats for Kids or other Salvation Army programs, contact Major Judy at 701-252-0290 or 701-269-3930 or email Judy.Lowder@usc.SalvationArmy.org
