JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) Existing Business Special Committee met Tuesday to discuss a Flex PACE request from T&K Early Intervention.
Flex PACE allows communities to provide assistance to businesses that do not meet the primary sector definition of PACE. Business Development Director Corry Shevlin stated that T&K Early Intervention wanted to use the funds to purchase the building they’re currently renting.
The committee unanimously approved to forward the request to the JSDC Board of Directors.
In project updates, Shevlin says they’re continuing to work on the EDA Grants and Bank of North Dakota for Spiritwood Energy Park Infrastructure updates.
JSDC Executive Director Connie Ova added that there was money set aside by the Bank of North Dakota for these updates.
Ova says the Bank of North Dakota has held that money for the project for the past 3 or 4 years.
In the JSDC Airport Park, Shevlin reports that they are continuing work with Collins Aerospace and a lease agreement there.
Ova added that the Airport Park has come along nicely.
With the National Guard, Ova says they’re still planning to fill space in the offices between the JSDC and Jamestown Chamber of Commerce. Shevlin says work is also moving forward with the planned facility at the park, but with recent cut backs, there have been some delays.
Shevlin expects an update sometime in the future.
