(NewsDakota.com) – Some changes could be coming to the Stutsman County Correctional Center in the next year.
The Stutsman County Commission heard a report Tuesday from David Prachar, who was hired by the county to do a jail staffing analysis and operational assessment of the Stutsman jail.
County auditor Casey Bradley says a lot of great information came from the report, some of which could save the county money down the road.
One of the recommendations by Prachar is to hire more full time staff, but reduce the total number of staff hours. Bradley says Prachar’s recommendations include the creation of posts for workers, with specific orders for each posts. The recommendations also include updating of policies and procedures.
The commission took no action on the report at Tuesday’s meeting. Bradley says any major changes are still months away.
