JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The summer of 2020 may be done, but the Jamestown Arts Center would like to thank everyone who helped make this year special.
Due to COVID-19, the weekly Thursday event looked a little different, but Executive Director Mindi Schmitz says all the participation kept the arts market going strong.
While the event normally featured food, arts activities, and games, Schmitz says they limited it down to just music and encouraged participants to take in other downtown establishments. She added that they’ll begin sending out a survey to gauge interest in the program next summer.
In other Arts Center news, Schmitz says they’re excited for their arts after school program to return.
Schmitz says they provide busing to their program after school for those who are registered. She pointed out that they also have scholarships to make the arts after school available for everyone. She says they also have adult art classes too.
In the gallery, Schmitz says they’re hosting the 56th annual JFFA exhibit, featuring local artists and a variety of work.
