FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Hi-Liners competed in their first Cross Country Meet of the
season.The meet was hosted by the Fargo Public Schools and held at Mickelson Field and Oak
Grove Park on Saturday.

Under the new Covid restrictions this year, 3-4 EDC teams competed during each race throughout the day and the results were combined at the end of the day. The Hi-Liners
started their meet at 4:30 pm and they were in the rotation with Fargo South and GF Red River. Although the temperatures were in the upper 80s and high dew point, the runners competed hard and worked through the conditions to complete their race. 8th grader Greta Goven and 9th grader Reagan Berg placed in the top 10 of a field of 67 runners.

Ninth Grader Corbin Golovanoff finished in the top half to lead the Hi-Liner boys. He placed 39th out of 80 runners. Next up for the Hi-Liner Cross Country team. They will travel to Grand Forks next Saturday to compete at Lincoln Drive. The Junior Varsity will compete at Riverside.
