JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JRMC) – Jamestown Regional Medical Center is proud to welcome Dr. Christopher Cost to its Urology team.
Dr. Cost grew up in Ohio and has more than 15 years of experience delivering care, most recently in Colorado and Bismarck, N.D. He and his family moved to Jamestown this summer.
“I look forward to working in Jamestown because I can tell this community and this hospital are like family. People are genuinely kind and welcoming here.”
A urologist cares for below-the-belt health like bladders, kidneys, prostate and the reproductive health of both men and women.
“I chose urology because it is an interesting field of medicine,” he said. “People often feel like what they are experiencing is taboo. In reality, once they start talking about it, they realize it’s much more common than they thought. There’s no need to feel embarrassed.”
Dr. Cost resumes the practice of Dr. Robert J. Bates who pioneered the JRMC Urology practice in 2015. Dr. Bates will retire this fall.
“Dr. Bates’ work with and at JRMC is why we were able to attract Dr. Christopher Cost to a now successful specialty practice,” said Mike Delfs, JRMC President & CEO. “With Dr. Cost starting a couple months before Dr. Bates retires, Dr. Cost will have time to get to know JRMC, its patients and the Jamestown community. We are grateful to Dr. Bates and wish him well in retirement.”
