(NewsDakota.com) The start of the 2012-13 school year is less than a month away, and the Oakes Public School District is in need of two school bus drivers for the upcoming school year.

Oakes Superintendent Art Conklin says if no drivers can be found for the routes, those routes will not run. Conkin says it will have to be determined later if the two routes will be shut down, or if they will be combined into one route; provided they find one driver. “Bus times for students will increase considerably if routes have to be combined.” said Conklin.

Anyone who wishes to be a driver is asked to contact the Oakes School at 742-3234 and speak with Conklin, or call the district’s Transportation Director Lee Hicks at 710-0212.
