JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Local businesses were hit hard when the pandemic set in earlier this year.
To help offset losses in revenue and business, the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce and Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation teamed up with area supporters to help support these businesses.
Chamber Executive Director Emily Bivens says this is where Give, Get, Grow comes in.
Bivens says right now, businesses, organizations, individuals, and more are making a donation to the matching pool, which will then be used to match the purchase of gift certificates to area businesses.
She says this is considered the Get phase of the campaign.
As of Thursday, July 16th, more than $19,000 have been contributed to the campaign. After being matched, that’ll be nearly $40,000 that will be inserted into the local economy.
Bivens says right now, they’re looking for businesses and companies who would be willing to have their certificates matched by the matching pool. Those who are interested are encouraged to contact the Jamestown Chamber at at (701)252-4830 or director@jamestownchamber.com.
