VALLEY CITY,N.D.( NewsDakota.com) – Linton/Wishek sent 13 batters to the plate and scored seven runs to break open a one run game on the way to a 12-4 win over Valley City in Babe Ruth baseball Wednesday night at Charlie Brown Field.
Valley City jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings thanks to Owen Struble. Struble had an rbi double in the first, then scored on Kai Kringlie’s single. He would follow that up with an 2 run triple in the third.
But Linton/Wishek would take the lead with three in the fourth. The Rattlers added two more in the fifth then put the game away with seven in the sixth. That inning was highlighted by Jasper Roth and Connor Kosiak who each had two run doubles.
The Dukes will host Ellendale Friday at Charlie Brown Field in a District 6 playin game. First pitch is at 5pm
