JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With COVID-19, many events have been left adjusting and moving things around to keep things as normal as possible.

One of these is the Downtown Arts Market, which has set a prime example on how to socially distance while holding a successful event.

“The Arts Center was a little hesitant to startup the Downtown Arts Market during this pandemic and put a lot of thought in to how to bring this back to Jamestown safely,” Angela Martini stated. “We are so impressed with our community and their personal responsibility and respect for others while enjoying a beautiful summer evening with great music.”

The different look Arts Market entered its third season with The Deb Jenkins band.

“A taste of what is to come this summer and a celebration of hope, life and culture,” Martini added. “The Arts Center was thankful to see that individuals were wearing masks and practicing safe social distancing while enjoy a small sense of normalcy.”

This Thursday, the Arts Market welcomes Bolder Shades of Blue, a blues-rock band with local talent and years of experience. Featuring Ken Gilbertson, Tamara Dallman, Paul Salo and Randy Shrenk, this band can really reach a crowd with upbeat blues rock, classic rock and a few top 40 hits.

The summer schedule for the Downtown Arts Market will continue each Thursday through August 27th. The event begins at 5:30 PM and is open to the public.
