JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce and Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) have had great response to their Give, Get, Grow campaign.
The campaign teams the Chamber and JSDC up with other area supporters to help local businesses who have experienced negative economic effects from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chamber Executive Director Emily Bivens says right now they are in the give portion of the campaign.
Response to the campaign has been high. Bivens reports that so far, $10,000 in contributions have been made to the matching pool. She says these will be used to match the purchase of gift cards and help stimulate the Jamestown economy even more.
She added that this campaign helps others who may have seen adverse effects due to the pandemic.
Businesses and organizations that have contributed so far include:
Community Foundation
Otter Tail Power Company
Lloyd’s Toyota
Cavendish
Unison
FCCU
University of Jamestown
Bank Forward
RM Stoudt
Jonny B’s Brickhouse
Contributions to the matching pool are still being accepted. The next phase of the campaign will begin on August 17th through August 31st for individuals to buy certificates and gift cards that will be matched dollar for dollar while the matching pool funds last.
