VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A District 24 candidate forum will be held on Friday, July 10 at 6:30 pm at the Valley City Pioneer Park Amphitheater, located at 800 4th Street NW in Valley City. Everyone in District 24 is encouraged to come, listen to the candidates and to bring your questions.
All district 24 Republican and Democrat-NPL candidates will address the audience. The Republican candidates include Mike Wobbema running for ND Senate and Dwight Kiefert and Cole Christensen running for the two ND House positions. The Democrat-NPL candidates include Larry Robinson running for the ND Senate and Naomi Muscha and Bradley Edin running for the two ND House positions.
The event is sponsored by the Valley City chapter of the North Dakota Women’s Network.
Gail Pederson is the present chair and will emcee the forum. The nonpartisan organization works to improve the lives of women in North Dakota through communication, legislation and public activism. Their core areas of focus speak to their values of leadership, opportunity and equality for all.
The evening will begin with each candidate telling the audience a little bit about themselves, why they chose to run and then discuss one issue pertinent to District 24 and the state of ND. That will be followed by questions from the audience via response cards.
Appropriate social distance seating will be marked on the Pioneer Park Amphitheater seating.
Attendees are encouraged to wear masks.

The election date is Tuesday, November 3. Early voting by mail will begin September 24.
