JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Thirty-two students were awarded $35,500 in scholarships by Jamestown Dollars for Scholars (JDFS), a program of Scholarship America.
Unfortunately, the Jamestown High School Awards Ceremony was not held due to Covid-19 restrictions. Scholarship recipients were recognized on the Jamestown Dollars for Scholars Facebook page.
JDFS was pleased to award the following new scholarships for 2020: two Robert and Myrna Sarbaum Scholarships endowed by the Sarbaum family and the Albert Martin-Swartz Scholarship sponsored by Lincoln Elementary.
The scholarship recipients were selected on the basis of academic achievement and community involvement, including volunteer activity, with consideration given to student financial need.
