JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Kids wearing their helmet in Jamestown have a chance of being caught by Jamestown Police this summer.
The “I Got Caught!” program has the Jamestown Police Department team up with Dairy Queen to give “tickets” to area children who are “caught” wearing their helmet and safety equipment.
“Each spring, [we] hand out tickets to kids wearing their helmets on their bike, skateboard, scooters, or skates,” the department says. “Just one of the small things our Officer’s do on a daily basis to build positives relationships and experiences. [I]t brings as much joy to us as it does to those kids!”
