JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Crews began demolishing the building on Business Loop West in Jamestown Tuesday afternoon.
The building was deemed dangerous in 2019 by City Building Inspector Tom Blackmore. In January 2020, the roof collapsed on a portion of the building following major snowfall. After further inspection, it was determined the whole building would be cost prohibitive to repair.
Demolition was originally approved to begin May 1st, but was delayed.
The building has housed several businesses in its history including Italian Tacos, Electronic Doctors, Outcast Inc, Two Rivers Printing, Jamestown Salvation Army Thrift Store and more.
