VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Commission rejected a bid to award a contract for a Streetscape II construction project in the city on May 5th.
The motion was rejected unanimously being the low bid was approximately $750-thousand dollars over the amount budgeted for the project.
The city will release more details on the next steps they plan to take concerning the second phase of Streetscape II.
The proposed project in Valley City includes decorative lighting, traffic signals and ADA/sidewalk improvements along Main Street from approximately 2nd Avenue West to 3rd Avenue East; mill & overlay, decorative lighting and ADA/sidewalk improvements along Central Avenue from 4th Street South to Main Street; and decorative lighting along the shared-use path within City Park.
