BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Health officials say a lack of testing supplies for COVID-19 forced a cancellation of mass screenings Monday in Fargo, the state’s biggest coronavirus hot spot.

Fargo Cass Public Health said the event planned at the Fargodome was cancelled due to a shortage of supplies at the state’s microbiology lab.

A spokesman for Gov. Doug Burgum said the cancellation was the result of a “supply chain issue” and state health officials were investigating the cause.

Health officials on Monday reported the number of people in the state testing positive for COVID-19 has grown to 1,225, up 34 from the day before.
