JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown woman was arrested after discharging a firearm within city limits Sunday afternoon.
The Jamestown Police Department reports that just after 3 PM, police and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 1804 7th Avenue NW to a shots fired call.
“Officers met with a victim who claimed his ‘on-again off-again girlfriend’ pointed a shotgun at him and fired it either into the air or in his general direction,” Police Chief Scott Edinger reports. “The victim was not physically injured during the dispute. A shotgun and shell casing were recovered at the scene.”
After further investigation and speaking with the suspect in this case, Kelsey Lou Kamoni, 22 of Jamestown, was arrested on charges of Terrorizing, Reckless Endangerment and Discharging a Firearm within the City Limits.
Kamoni is currently awaiting formal charges in the Stutsman County Correctional Center.
