JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – April is Alcohol Awareness Month and Central Valley Health District is encouraging parents to help crack down on underage drinking.

Director of Health Shannon Kaiser says even parents who don’t host underage drinking parties can unknowingly become a source of alcohol for teens. She says they’ve come up with a three-step way to help prevent underage drinking.

That step is followed by tracking and clearout.

Kaiser says the campaign is available on their Facebook page and they encourage everyone to follow those steps to help stop underage drinking.

Kaiser says they’re also focusing on substance abuse, reminding everyone that there are several drug take back sites available in the community that residents can use.
