JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown met in regular session through teleconference Monday evening to help mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19.

During the meeting, the city approved to have City Administrator Sarah Hellekson sign the NDDOT curb ramp construction agreements for the Road Diet Project, awarded the bid for the 2020 sidewalk, curb & gutter district and the main sanitary lift station engine generator.

During the Mayor and Councilmembers reports, Councilmember Pam Phillips stated that the briefings put on by Central Valley Health were doing a great job spreading information.

Dave Steele thanked city officials for their continued work on the issues at hand and encouraged people to continue supporting local business.

Steve Brubakken added that businesses are relying heavily on community members during this time.

Mayor Dwaine Heinrich stated that residents were responding well to the current conditions and are doing their part to support local business.
