JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Central Valley Health Unit Administrator Robin Iszler gave their report for 2019 to the Jamestown City Council Monday evening.
Iszler shared different funding sources and grants they received over 2019. She says their Opioid Prevention Funding helped provide the Jamestown Police and Stutsman County Sheriff Office, and Fire Department funds to meet the grants objectives.
Iszler says they provided 4,280 immunizations to the community 2019, with 2,720 being flu shots. 826 flu shots were given in Stutsman and Logan counties.
In Community Health Prevention, Iszler says they’re hopeful they’ll be able to hold their popular Kids Safety Day this summer.
Also in the report, Iszler reports that they destroyed an impressive amount of medication in their Drug Take Back program.
Following her report, councilmembers gave Iszler and Central Valley Health commendations for the work they continue to do and their recent work on the COVID-19 outbreak.
Iszler stated they’ll continue to provide briefings with area officials during the pandemic, which can be watched on Central Valley Health’s Facebook page or on NewsDakota.com.
