JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown & Stutsman County officials gave the latest information regarding their steps and changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Central Valley Health Unit Administrator Robin Iszler reports that there are still no confirmed cases in Stutsman County, but residents should continue to remain vigilant and follow CDC and Department of Health guidelines.

Iszler says there have been 144 tests completed in Jamestown by the Jamestown Regional Medical Center and Sanford Health. She says Central Valley Health will post local test numbers on their Facebook page.

JRMC CEO and President Mike Delfs stated that the hospital continues to serve the public in its capacity while also meeting CDC guidelines for testing and safety.

Stutsman County Auditor Nicole Meland talked about the courthouse, June elections, and more.

Jamestown Mayor Dwaine Heinrich says their April 6th City Council meeting will be held virtually with councilmembers and the public being invited to call in to participate. The meeting will also be streamed on the City of Jamestown’s Facebook page.

Jamestown Superintendent Dr. Rob Lech gave the latest on school operations as they deal with COVID-19, online courses, connectivity and more.

Dan Cramer with South Central Human Service Center says they continue to maintain services, with crisis staff available 24/7, along with telehealth services.

He says now is an important time to reach out and maintain your mental health.
