JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department released the name of the 16 year-old killed in a Sunday accident.

Major Justin Blinsky reports that 16 year-old Ava Donegan was killed when she was struck by a pickup and pinned underneath. Police were called to the scene just before midnight. When officers arrived, they attempted to provide emergency aid, but Donegan was not breathing and did not have a pulse.

Jamestown Fire & Rescue crews lifted the vehicle off the teenager. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
