VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – South Central Adult Services Director Pat Hanson said they’ve been getting a lot of calls asking if transit is running in light of Gov. Burgum’s directives to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The answer is Yes.

Hansen said we are running on our normal schedule after the North Dakota Department of Transportation told us that we are an essential service.

That being said, people still need to get to medical appointments and purchase groceries and supplies. She said we are sanitizing the vehicles on a regular basis and are asking people who are coughing or have signs of illness to put a mask on when they board the transit bus.

Hansen said we are also separating the medical riders for Jamestown and Fargo from other passengers by doing separate trips for non-medical purposes. If people have questions they can call South Central Adult Services at 845-4300.
