JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – When it comes to one-man bands, Todd Green could widely be considered one of the best.

Green, who began his pursuit of music at a young age, has traveled the world with his experience and expertise. Using a “looper”, Green is able to capture a variety of instruments and build his music from there.

With a show boasting over 50 different world instruments including barikoto, swar rabouditar, Bansori flutes, Dizi, and more.

Green says he’s always thinking of new ways to make music with “hybrid instruments.”

When it comes to performance, Green says it’s more educational as he offers history on the different instruments he may be using.

Green’s concerts are also one-of-a-kind, offering different improvisational pieces meaning no performances are the same.

The Jamestown Arts Center will be hosting Todd Green for a 1 week residency beginning March 22nd. He’s set to perform and demonstrate his show at area schools, which provide a more educational look into his performances and instruments.

Green will wrap up the week with a public concert on March 28th beginning at 7 PM at the Jamestown Arts Center.

“His full concert, which takes eight hours of set-up time, will feature original music inspired by many different cultures in the Middle East, Central Asia, Far East and South America,” the Jamestown Arts Center states.

Tickets for the concert will be $10 for the general public and $5 for members. Children get in free with an adult.
