VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Six steers and four hogs were sold during the North Dakota Winter Show Classic Steer and Market Hog Auction on Sunday, March 1st in the basement of the Valley City Eagles Club.

Cattle Auction:

Ethan Lyons of Lisbon, ND got the top premium after his 1388 pound steer sold for $1.65 a pound to CHS Dakota Plains Ag. His premium was $694.

Samantha Noot of Kathryn, ND sold three steers on 1241 pound steer sold for $1.59 a pound to Bank Forward. The premium was $546.

Brock Lyons of Lisbon, ND sold a 1196 pound steer for $1.51 a pound to Dan Lund. The premium was $430.

And Grant Lyons of Lisbon, ND sold a 1189 pound steer for $1.43 a pound to Valley Meat Supply. The premium was $332.

Thanks to the Valley City Eagles Club, CHS Dakota Plains Ag, Valley Meat Supply, Bank Forward, Dan Lund and Kenny Rasmuson for purchasing these steers.

Market Hog Sale:

Jayce Zimprich of Milnor, ND sold four hogs. Columbia Grain bought a 304 pound hog for $2.15 a pound the Premium was $547. KOVC (i3G Media) purchased a 241 pound hog for $2.30 a pound. The premium was $469. Muskie Sales bought a 280 pound hog for $1.95 a pound. The premium was $448. And American Food Group purchased a 231 pound hog for $1.35 a pound. The premium was $231.
