VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For the sixth time in seven years, the Valley City Hi-Liner Gymnastics Team are champs of the Eastern Dakota Conference.

Friday the Hi-Liners scored a season high 143.525 points to take first in the team and Karina Olson won the all-around.

Olson was first on the bars, third on beam, first on the floor and scored 36.575 in the All Around.

Jocey Kriewald was second on the vault, third on bars, second on beam and third in the all-around with a 35.525 score.

Olivia Olson was fifth on the vault, second on the beam, third on the floor and fifth in the all-around with a score of 35.350.

Abby Thornton took first in the vault, second on the bars , fifth on the beam and second in the All-Around with a score 35.900

The State Gymnastics Meet will be in Dickinson next weekend. The Hi-Liners have several athletes that have qualified for state.

Karina Olson, Olivia Olson, Abby Thornton, Jocey Kriewald and Grace Undem have qualified in the floor. All four have qualified in the bars. Those four and Maddie Wendel have qualified on the bars. All five on the vault. Karina Olson, Jocey Kriewald, Olivia Olson and Abbey Thornton have qualified in the all-around.

Karina Olson,  Jocey Kriewald and Abbey Thornton were named All Conference after the meet.
