FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After a long day of individual wrestling, the Valley City Hi-Liners came together and took home the consolation championship at the State Wrestling Tournament Saturday at the Fargodome.

Earlier in the day, the Hi-Liners first had to face Fargo Davies in the consolation semifinals. The Hi-Liners got wins from Austin Rogelstad at 126 (Fall at 1:22), Evan Mielke at 138 (Fall at 5:09), Parker Larson at 160 (Fall at :57), Jonah Schuldheisz at 182 (Dec 6-5), Jonathan Redfearn at 195 (Fall at 1:05), Ethan Miller at 113 (Fall at :29), and Bennett Rogelstad at 120 (Tech Fall 17-1).

The final was 44-28. The Hi-Liners would face Devils Lake in the 5th place match.

In that dual, the Hi-Liners got wins from Austin Rogelstad at 126 (Fall at 1:45), Ezra Hanse at 152 (Dec 4-2), Parker Larson at 160 (Fall at :50), Jonathan Redfearn at 182 (Fall at 2:10), Koye Grebel at 106 (Tech Fall 19-2), and Bennett Rogelstad at 120 (Fall at 2:56).

The final was 44-30.

The Hi-Liners end the season 14-5.
