JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Eight teams will vie for a chance at the 2020 Class B State Basketball Tournament next Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the Jamestown Civic Center.
The defending Region 3 Champions Kidder County narrowly escaped with a win over Medina-Pingree/Buchanan to secure the one seed out of District 6.
In the other half of the region, LaMoure-Litchville/Marion defeated top seeded Carrington for the second straight year in dominating fashion to capture the one seed out of District 5.
Region 3 could have “three to five teams in the top 15 in the state,” according to Oakes Head Coach Brennan Hack. It should be a gauntlet to represent Region 3 in the 2020 Class B Girls State Basketball Tournament.
