MANDAN, N.D. (AP) – Mandan police say a 36-year-old man has died after fighting with two officers following a traffic stop.
Police made the stop in Mandan around 5 p.m. Saturday. Police say the man, from Mandan, drove away as the two officers talked to him and pulled into a driveway. Police say the man began fighting with the officers and was handcuffed. Police say as he continued to resist the officers, he became limp and unresponsive.
Officers provided emergency aid, but the man died at a hospital. The two officers are on administrative leave. The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating.
