JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission heard the latest from County Courthouse Maintenance Supervisors Jim Fettig and Howie Peuser.
Fettig stated that a couple years ago, the commission moved ahead on a courtroom remodel. That made the courtroom ADA compliant and increased protection.
Because the grant for the project was a 50/50 split, Fettig said he had left out some other items that would have been included in the project.
Fettig says money is still available in the budget to match the grant.
The facility grant was unanimously approved. The commission also moved to accept bids for electrical service through Curtis Electric and Scott’s Electric. They also moved to receive services through Arctic Zone Refrigeration, Jamestown Plumbing, Arneson, Inc., and Heartland Heating & Cooling.
In other county news, Stutsman County State’s Attorney Fritz Fremgen reports that lab tests for drugs are getting tougher to get for cases.
Fremgen says they’re usually been able to get stuff analyzed and back in time, but other State’s Attorneys in the State are experiencing the same issues.
