VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners gymnastics team had a busy weekend. Friday they hosted Wahpeton in a dual and Saturday they were in Jamestown for a meet.
Friday, the Hi-Liners scored a 143.150. That is the highest team total in four years. Jocey Kriewald took first in the vault, the bars and the all-around with a 36.250. Karina Olson was first in the beam and the floor and second all-around at 36.150. Olivia Olson was 3rd all-around followed by Abby Thornton and Grace Undem. Maddie Wendle was seventh and Zoe Bjerke was ninth.
In Jamestown, the Hi-Liners took second with a 141.9 Jamestown was first with a 144.450. Karina Olson was first in the beam, second in the floor and second all-around. Jocey Kriewald was first in the vault, third on the beam and sixth all-around. Olivia Olson was second on the vault and beam and fifth all-around.
The Hi-Liners around ranked fourth in the state as a team. Karina Olson is 6th in the state in the all-around. Olivia Olson is ninth in the state in the vault, one place ahead of sister Karina. Karina is seventh on the bars, tenth on the beam and fourth on the floor.
