JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High basketball teams started a quick two-game homestand with a win over Turtle Mountain on Saturday night. The Jays will host Bismarck on Tuesday before traveling to Dickinson on Friday night.
GBB: Jamestown 77, Turtle Mountain 66.
The Jays jumped out to an 18-5 lead early, but the Braves came storming back eventually taking the lead for the first and only time at 43-42. Jamestown immediately responded with a 13-0 run to take control. Kameron Selvig lead the way with 24 points an Grace Hegerle had 20.
Ella Falk had 16 points and seven assists. Jamestown has a big game with Bismarck High on Tuesday as the teams below Century and Legacy attempt to clear up the log jam in the final month of the season of the season.
BBB: Jamestown 97, Turtle Mountain 67.
Boden Skunberg had his second highest career point total with 45 points on 14/32 shooting and pulled in 22 rebounds. This game was never really in doubt as the Jays took control early.
Jamestown can create some separation between themselves and the rest of the WDA with a win on Tuesday against BHS.
