(NewsDakota.com) – A farm accident north of Buchanan has sent a Russian farm worker to the hospital with unspecified leg injuries.
The Stutsman County Sheriff’s office says the man was working in a grain bin and sustained leg injuries after getting caught in a grain auger at about 10:30 a.m. Friday morning. The man was airlifted by Sanford Lifeflight to the hospital.
The sheriff’s office says the man was a hired hand through a Russian farm exchange program. The accident occurred about 10 miles north of Buchanan at 2147 77th Ave. Southeast.
Jamestown Ambulance and the Stutsman County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene.
