JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Prairie Paws Rescue, a unique, foster-based program, will be returning the “Raise the Woof” comedy tour February 1st.
Prairie Paws Rescue is a non-profit that works with volunteers to temporarily house adoptable animals. Kaye John is a co-founder of the program.
John says most animal rescues are located in a brick and mortar, but Prairie Paws allows the animal to live inside a home with other pets, kids, and different environments to help them better transition to an adopted family.
In order to maintain services and pay for food, spaying/neutering, and more, Prarie Paws relies on donations and volunteers to operate. They also hold various fundraisers including the return of the “Raise the Woof” comedy tour.
John says the event will also have more than $7,000 in auction items available and will also include raffles to help raise funds for operating costs. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, but are extremely limited. You can purchase a ticket at any veterinarian clinic in Jamestown, KC Hall, or any Prairie Paws Rescue Volunteer.
John says they’re also looking for more volunteers.
