JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown City Street Crews worked day and night following a major snow storm that brought 20 or more inches to the area.
During the Monday City meeting, councilmembers took time to commend all the crews and the overtime work put in to clear city streets and roadways. Councilmember Steve Brubakken stated that while some city residents may be upset with the process, the street crews deserve a lot of credit for moving the mount of snow they did.
Mayor Dwaine Heinrich echoed Brubakken’s words and says they’ll be taking a look at protocol for snow removal at the upcoming Public Works meeting this month.
Heinrich says one major concern brought to his attention was the amount of vehicles parked curbside that hindered snow removal.
The city may consider discussing snow removal and downtown parking lots at the public works meeting on January 16th.
