CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Carrington 8th Graders will be getting a chance to learn about different healthcare career opportunities in an upcoming “Scrubs Camp” through CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington.

Foundation Director and Marketing Coordinator Nicole Threadgold with CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington says the camp will focus on the career opportunities in a rural setting.

Threadgold says the remaining costs for the camp are covered by the medical center and their partners. She says the Eastern North Dakota Area Health Education Center will also be making information available for what they provide.

She pointed out that the Scrubs Camp has been well attended in previous years.

Threadgold says they keep the students very busy through the camp with a variety of topics and rotations for all the 8th graders to go through.

Following the days events, students return to the school for a wrap-up and learn more about the importance of rural healthcare.

The camp is set for Wednesday, January 15th in Carrington.
