VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)  – Peyton Zaun nailed a three-pointer to make the score 6-3 Davies, that would be as close as the Hi-Liners would get the rest of the way as the second ranked Eagles stayed unbeaten with a 87-36 win Thursday Night at the WE Osmon Fieldhouse at Valley City State University.

Davies would go on a 19-2 run from there and open up a 25-5 lead. The Eagles led 42-14 at the break. Cameron Van Dam had 11 of his game high 25 points in the first half.

Davies would start the second half on a 12-0 run to open up a 54-14 lead. After making three threes in the first half. Owen Hektner settled for three two point field goals in the second half for 15 points on the night. Justice Noel was also in double figures with 11 points. Van Dam added 15 rebounds, three assists, five steals and four block shots.

Peyton Zaun led the Hi-Liners with 15 points. Mitchell Taylor had seven points, all coming in the second half.

Valley City falls to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the Eastern Dakota Conference. Davies is now 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

The Hi-Liners are off until December 30th when they travel to Devils Lake for a doubleheader with the Firebirds.
