VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Another Barnes County Tournament is in the books and another championship for LaMoure/Litchville-Marion. The Loboes won their fifth straight BCT championship with a 58-41 over Milnor/North Sargent in the title game Saturday afternoon at the W.E Osmon Fieldhouse at Valley State University.

The Loboes scored 10 straight points after Milnor/North Sargent to a 2-0 lead 15 seconds into the game. And they never looked back.
Kaylynn Siedschlag and Ellie Holen had 15 points each. And Molly Musland added 12 points, four assists and five steals for the Loboes.
The Loboe defense caused 18 Bulldog turnovers and had 27 points off turnovers.
Dylan Frederick had 14 points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs. Annika Nelson added 13 points and six rebounds.
Enderlin 72, Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page 68.
Three BCT records nearly fell in the third place game as the Eagles held on to beat the Spartans.
Katelyn Tingley scored 34 points to the lead the Eagles. That was five points shy of the record for a single game in this tournament. She was 15-18 from the free throw line. Finishing one shy of the record for made free throws. For the tournament, Tingley had 23 made free throws, missing the old mark by 1. And the combined 140 points were one shy of the record for combined points in any game. Tingley also had eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Kaylie Schlecht had 16 points for the Eagles who were runners up in 2018.
Raegen Zerface led the Spartans with 21 points. Darby Breckheimer added 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists. And Josie Flaten chipped in 20 points and nine rebounds.
Sargent Central 54, Maple Valley 32
Sargent Central went on a 16-0 run in the first quarter as they built a big early lead en route to a 54-32 victory in the consolation championship.
The Cadets’ big run gave them a 20-2 lead after the first quarter. Maple Valley was able to trim to deficit to 14 points at halftime, but could get no closer the rest of the way.
Sargent Central’s Brynn Peterson scored a game-high 25 points in the victory. Jami Bopp added a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Courtney Hovelson led Maple Valley with 14 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
Griggs County Central 45, Barnes County North 37
Griggs County Central captured 7th place on Saturday with a 45-37 win over Barnes County North.
Jenna Larson had a monster double-double with 25 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Cougars to their first victory of the season. Kennedy Hannesson had 18 points and four steals as the duo combined to score 43 of Griggs County’s 45 points.
Kendra Greshik led the Bison with 11 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
