Knights of Columbus in Jamestown is hosting a chess tournament for kids & adults!

The tournament is being run by JHS & JMS chess clubs. The tournament will begin at 9:30 A.M. with kid and adult divisions. Cost is $5 for adults, $1 for kids – money going toward chess supplies and travel expenses to take JHS & JMS students to the state chess tournament in Bismarck in the spring. Prizes will be awarded for winners in each category.

There will be 5 rounds for both kids & adults. Adults will be on a timer (30 minutes for each competitor – rare to run out of time). Depending on speed of rounds, we will break for lunch and finish last rounds after lunch.

We’re looking for a lot of people to participate in this newer sort of event in Jamestown! More than 100 games could be played at a time!
