JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There was little suspense for the No. 8 University of Jamestown volleyball team when the NAIA national tournament qualifiers and opening round matches were announced this morning. They had already received an automatic qualifier to the tournament and were ranked squarely within the top-16 to receive a bid directly to the final site in Sioux City.
It’s the third time the Jimmies have advanced through to the pool play stage without having to appear in the opening round. The schedule for those matches will not be released until next week, but the action will start December 3rd at the Tyson Event Center.
Jamestown will play one match on December 3rd, one on December 4th and one on December 5th. The Round of 16 and the Round of Eight will be played on December 6th. The national semifinals and championship are scheduled for December 7th.
ESPN Jamestown will have coverage of all the matches the Jimmies play in throughout the tournament. Check back to NewsDakota next week for the full schedule.
