From the Office of U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer
FARGO – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) delivered welcoming remarks this morning at the Pioneer Equipment Dealers Association’s Inaugural Convention.
“There is no comparison to a constituent meeting with an elected official. As we saw with writing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the advice and insight I receive from the members of this group is necessary and invaluable,” said Senator Cramer. “I encourage everyone to continue reaching out with ideas and solutions about how we can make public policy work better for you.”
The Pioneer Equipment Dealers Association represents all 340 farm equipment dealers in North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota. It was formed in April of this year as a merger between the North Dakota Implement Dealers Association and the Minnesota-South Dakota Equipment Dealers Association.
This event comes on the heels of a visit last Friday from U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Under Secretary Bill Northey, who participated in a round table in Argusville with Senator Cramer and local leaders to hear from North Dakota’s agricultural community and to discuss programs available to farmers negatively impacted by recent extreme weather. Senator Cramer with North Dakota’s Congressional delegation, Governor Burgum, and Agriculture Commissioner Goehring worked to secure a disaster designation for 47 North Dakota counties, making them available for federal disaster assistance.
