JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is spending the week traveling across North Dakota to not only celebrate 100 years of service, but to also recognize individuals and organizations who have helped along the way.
CEO Jessica Thomasson addressed the small gathering in Jamestown Monday. She says the Aging Life Care rolled out in the area is helping seniors live independently in their own home.
Following a video presentation, Thomasson brought up the new Dove Awards.
Thomasson stated they would be going from community to community this week to present their Dove Awards and recognize those who have helped them in the state as they work towards another 100 years.
Area recipients of the Dove Awards included Howard Oppegard of Valley City, The University of Jamestown, Great Plains Housing Authority, and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Valley City.
