JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Wildlife Federation (SCWF) is hosting their 2nd Annual Women’s Pheasant Hunt on Saturday, November 2nd.

The day was created last year to encourage women to get out and get experience pheasant hunting with other ladies. SCWF Member Cathleen O’Higgins says it coincides with their organizations overall goal.

O’Higgins says the Women’s Pheasant Hunt was successful for their first year and they’re excited to bring it back this fall.

O’Higgins says participants don’t need to be a member of the club. She says all they’ll need is their required licenses, shotgun, and ammo.

Those interested in joining the hunt are encouraged to contact Cathleen O’Higgins by texting or calling 701-251-8023 or message the Stutsman County Wildlife Federation Facebook page.

O’Higgins says the club meets every 2nd Thursday of the month at the Bunker and discuss different projects and priorities for the year. She says they also distribute a monthly newsletter and keep their Facebook page updated.

Those looking to join the club only need to pay a $15 membership fee.
