VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – US Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) spokesman Scott Tichy said inflows into Lake Ashtabulta continue to drop off and aren’t expected to rise this week. He said outflows out of Baldhill dam will remain at about 3,400 cfs. The Sheyenne river level in Valley City remains slightly above 15 feet.

Valley City Administrator David Schelkoph said they expect no major changes this week following two good days with the flood forecast. He said people should not drive on the earthen levees being it would compromise the flood protection structures. He said they will remain in place heading into the spring of 2020.

Schelkoph said the morning flood briefings will be suspended until another major event is in the forecast for the city of Valley City. The full flood meeting for October 23rd is attached below.
