BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The first of three matches on the week for the Jamestown High volleyball went their way on the road at Legacy 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 25-17).

“Its good to come here and get a win when we didn’t play our best,” said coach Sara Hegerle.

In the second set, Leagcy had a 14-3 lead and the Jays just about clawed their way back. They closed to 24-22 before the Sabers got the set clinching point. The momentum didn’t quite carry over as Legacy jumped ahead 11-7 in the third. However, it was all Jamestown after that.

The Jays closed the set on an 18-4 run. The fourth set lead see-sawed back and forth for a while until Jamestown grabbed control to close the match with a quick four-point mini-run after it was tied at 11.

Jamestown hosts Williston on Friday and Watford City on Saturday.
