JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It started as a haunted house for employees and patients at the North Dakota State Hospital in 2012, but has grown into much more.

The Buffalo City Scream Team is a group of volunteers who enjoy scaring people and helping different charities in the community. Dan Everson is one of the team members.

Everson says everyone who sets up and constructions the haunted house each year is through donations and volunteering.

Everything the group collects go to charities and food banks in the city. Everson says they were able to donate around $5000 to charities along with 5000 non-perishable food items for Community Action Region VI.

Alex Longwright says he’s operated a haunted house in Oakes, ND for several years and after moving to Jamestown, he was looking to bring his experience to another haunted house.

The haunted house will run one more weekend on October 25th & 26th from 8 PM to 12 AM. Cost to enter is $5 per person and at least one non-perishable food item.

The haunted house is located at 1620 8th Ave SW.
