JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High golf shaved off some strokes on Day 2 of the Class A State Golf Tournament in Wahpeton. The Jays finished eighth in the team competition with a 763, which was well short of St. Mary’s in 7th place.
Kyra Vogel was the top Jamestown finisher with a 25th place finish. A first round 92 on Monday followed by an 89 on Tuesday.
Century freshman Hannah Herbel won her second consecutive state title with back-to-back 78’s, she was two shots clear of second.
The Patriots also took home the team title, with a 661, 19 shots better than Williston.
