JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Clowns aren’t clowning around with their returning pumpkin patch and new corn maze that will open up this weekend.
Continuing their mission of providing transportation funding to those traveling to and from children’s hospitals, the Jamestown Shriner Clowns raise funds for that purpose.
Shriner Rick Qual says they’re excited to unveil the new corn maze while continuing their tradition of selling pumpkins for their mission. He says those who go through the maze will then be allowed to pick their own pumpkin to take home from their patch.
“Pumpkin” Jon Lindberg has overseen the pumpkin part of the fundraiser for the past 4 years.
Qual says the $10 admission to the corn maze also covers the pumpkin patch pick.
Lindberg says individuals in the community can also purchase their pumpkins from several banks in Jamestown or any other location to assist in their fundraiser.
The corn maze will be open every Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday from 1PM to 4PM. Dates include September 28th & 29th, October 5th & 6th, 12th & 13th, and 19th & 20th.
The corn maze and pumpkin patch is located at 3523 82nd Avenue SE north of Meidinger Park at the top of the hill. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
